| Many search engines now give the keyword tag little or no weight. Therefore you needn't spend too much time and effort on typing in all your keywords here. The keyword tag was open to abuse because it could drive unrelated traffic towards you site and for this reason more and more search engines are dropping it from their algorithm. |

| Recently, we have been putting commonly misspelled words in the keyword tag that might be typed into a search engine for a particular website. If search engines are giving this tag no weight at all then you have lost nothing. However, if the search engines are giving the keyword tag a little weight then you might gain a few more hits through the typo errors of the searcher. These are words you wouldn't want visible on your site but are words commonly misspelled for your range of keyword phrases. |
